Sec. 19. As used in this chapter, “protected financial information” means any record of a:

(1) sale;

Terms Used In Indiana Code 24-5-27.5-19

  • firearms code: means a merchant category code approved by the International Organization for Standardization specifically for firearms retailers. See Indiana Code 24-5-27.5-9
  • payment card: means :

    Indiana Code 24-5-27.5-14

(2) purchase;

(3) return; or

(4) refund;

that is made or processed with a payment card and that is retrieved, characterized, generated, labeled, sorted, or grouped based solely on the assignment of a firearms code.
