Sec. 5. The state comptroller shall issue a warrant in the amount of each claim submitted to the state comptroller against the fund not later than sixty (60) days after the issuance of a court approved settlement or final nonappealable judgment. The only claim against the fund shall be a voucher or other appropriate request by the commissioner after the commissioner receives:

(1) a certified copy of a final nonappealable judgment against a health care provider; or

Terms Used In Indiana Code 34-18-6-5

  • Judgment: means all final orders, decrees, and determinations in an action and all orders upon which executions may issue. See Indiana Code 1-1-4-5
