Municipal corporations organized pursuant to the provisions of this chapter must be divided into three population categories:
Terms Used In Nevada Revised Statutes 266.055
- population: means the number of people in a specified area as determined by the last preceding national decennial census conducted by the Bureau of the Census of the United States Department of Commerce pursuant to Section 2 of Nevada Revised Statutes 0.050
1. Those cities having 50,000 or more inhabitants are cities of population category one.
2. Those cities having 5,000 or more but less than 50,000 inhabitants are cities of population category two.
3. Those cities having less than 5,000 inhabitants are cities of population category three.
