Hazardous Products and Materials

The Resource Conservation and Recovery Act gives general guidelines for a waste management program envisioned by Congress and mandates that the EPA develop regulations to implement the law. The Environmental Protection Agency encourages states to assume primary responsibility through state adoption, authorization and implementation of the regulations. The goal is to control HAZMAT from the time it is generated until its disposal.
