§ 1.  Judicial Notice

Judicial notice of another court’s records is for the sole purpose of understanding the nature of the proceedings and nature of the judicial act performed, not for the truth of any matters asserted in the court record or any court orders.{footnote}Liberty Mutual Ins. § 2.  As Hearsay

Findings of fact in another lawsuit are generally inadmissible hearsay.{footnote}Nipper v. Snipes, 7 F.3d 415 (4th Cir. 1993); United States v.
