Arizona
means a record that is available to the public for inspection and that is:

(a) A record consisting of the record initially filed with or issued by a state or the United States to form or organize an organization and any record filed with or issued by the state or the United States that amends or restates the initial record;

(b) An organic record of a business trust consisting of the record initially filed with a state and any record filed with the state that amends or restates the initial record, if a statute of the state governing business trusts requires that the record be filed with the state; or

(c) A record consisting of legislation enacted by the legislature of a state or the Congress of the United States that forms or organizes an organization, any record amending the legislation and any record filed with or issued by the state or the United States that amends or restates the name of the organization Arizona Laws 47-9102
Florida
means a record, the filing of which by a governmental body is required to form an entity, and an amendment to or restatement of such record Florida Statutes 607.01401
means a record, the filing of which by a governmental body is required to form an entity, and an amendment to or restatement of that record Florida Statutes 605.0102
Idaho
means the record, the filing of which by the secretary of state is required to form an entity, and any amendment to or restatement of that record Idaho Code 30-21-102
Iowa
means any of the following:

 (1) The articles of incorporation of a domestic or foreign business or nonprofit corporation Iowa Code 490.140
means the record, if any, that is filed of public record, to create an unincorporated entity Iowa Code 504.141
Maine
means a record that is available to the public for inspection and is:
(a) Maine Revised Statutes Title 11 Sec. 9-1102
Michigan
means a record that is available to the public for inspection and is any of the following:
    (i) A record consisting of the record initially filed with or issued by a state or the United States to form or organize an organization and any record filed with or issued by the state or the United States which amends or restates the initial record Michigan Laws 440.9102
Montana
means a record that is available to the public for inspection and is:

(i)a record consisting of the record initially filed with or issued by a state or the United States to form or organize an organization and any record filed with or issued by the state or the United States which amends or restates the initial record;

(ii)an organic record of a business trust consisting of the record initially filed with a state and any record filed with the state which amends or restates the initial record, if a statute of the state governing business trusts requires that the record be filed with the state; or

(iii)a record consisting of legislation enacted by the legislature of a state or the congress of the United States which forms or organizes an organization, any record amending the legislation, and any record filed with or issued by the state or the United States which amends or restates the name of the organization Montana Code 30-9A-102
Ohio
means a record that is available to the public for inspection and is:

(a) A record consisting of the record initially filed with or issued by a state or the United States to form or organize an organization and any record filed with or issued by the state or the United States that amends or restates the initial record;

(b) An organic record of a business trust consisting of the record initially filed with a state and any record filed with the state that amends or restates the initial record, if a statute of the state governing business trusts requires that the record be filed with the state; or

(c) A record consisting of legislation enacted by the legislature of a state or the congress of the United States that forms or organizes an organization, any record amending the legislation, and any record filed with or issued by the state or the United States that amends or restates the name of the organization Ohio Code 1309.102
Oregon
means a record that is available to the public for inspection and is:

(A) A record consisting of the record initially filed with or issued by a state or the United States to form or organize an organization and any record filed with or issued by the state or the United States that amends or restates the initial record;

(B) An organic record of a business trust consisting of the record initially filed with a state and any record filed with the state that amends or restates the initial record, if a statute of the state governing business trusts requires that the record be filed with the state; or

(C) A record consisting of legislation enacted by the legislature of a state or the Congress of the United States that forms or organizes an organization, any record amending the legislation and any record filed with or issued by the state or the United States that amends or restates the name of the organization Oregon Statutes 79.0102
Rhode Island

Virginia
means (i) the articles of incorporation of a domestic or foreign corporation or nonstock corporation or (ii) the document, the filing of which is required to create an unincorporated entity Virginia Code 13.1-603
Washington
means the record the filing of which by the secretary of state is required to form an entity and any amendment to or restatement of that record Washington Code 23.95.105
