Terms Used In Alabama Code 27-31-12

  • Attorney: as used in this chapter , refers to the attorney-in-fact of a reciprocal insurer. See Alabama Code 27-31-5
  • state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the several territories of the United States. See Alabama Code 1-1-1

In lieu of the bond required under Section attorney of domestic insurer – Requirements” class=”unlinked-ref” datatype=”S” sessionyear=”2020″ statecd=”AL” title=”27″>27-31-11, the attorney may maintain on deposit with the State Treasurer, through the office of the commissioner, a like amount in cash or in value of securities qualified for deposit under Section 27-6-3, and subject to the same conditions as the bond.
