Terms Used In Alabama Code 37-1-125

  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.

On any such appeal any utility, interested party or intervenor may supersede any order or judgment entered by giving such supersedeas bond or bonds as may be appropriate to the proceedings as provided for in this subdivision.
