Terms Used In Alabama Code 37-1-129

  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
  • circuit: means judicial circuit. See Alabama Code 1-1-1

An additional bond of like amount and with the same conditions shall be given at the end of each six months pending the appeal to the Circuit Court of Montgomery County and pending any subsequent appeal by any party to the supreme court.
