  • state: means the State of Alaska unless applied to the different parts of the United States and in the latter case it includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060

An application to the court under Alaska Stat. § 09.43.320 shall be made in the court of the judicial district in which the agreement to arbitrate specifies the arbitration hearing is to be held or, if the hearing has been held, in the court of the judicial district in which it was held. Otherwise, the application may be made in the court of a judicial district in which an adverse party resides or has a place of business or, if no adverse party has a residence or place of business in this state, in the court of any judicial district in this state. All subsequent applications shall be made in the court hearing the initial application unless the court otherwise directs.
