(a) A foreign corporation filing with the department a certificate of the appointment and consent of an agent residing in this state, or a certificate of revocation of the appointment of a resident agent, shall pay to the commissioner a fee established by the department by regulation.

  • commissioner: means the commissioner of commerce, community, and economic development or a designee of the commissioner. See Alaska Statutes 10.06.990
  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • department: means the Department of Commerce, Community, and Economic Development. See Alaska Statutes 10.06.990
  • state: means any of the United States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Northern Mariana Islands, Guam, the Virgin Islands, American Samoa, the Trust Territory of the Pacific Islands, or any other territory or possession of the United States. (b) For filing a statement of change of address of registered agent under Alaska Stat. § 10.06.170(a) or resignation under Alaska Stat. § 10.06.170(b), the agent shall pay to the commissioner a fee established by the department by regulation.
