Terms Used In Alaska Statutes 10.15.525

  • cooperative: means a cooperative corporation subject to the provisions of this chapter. See Alaska Statutes 10.15.595
  • member: means a person who has been qualified and accepted for membership in a cooperative. See Alaska Statutes 10.15.595
  • state: means the State of Alaska unless applied to the different parts of the United States and in the latter case it includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060

A foreign cooperative which has a member residing in the state, and which distributes its proceeds and savings according to this chapter or the law of the state where it is incorporated, is entitled to all rights, exemptions, and privileges of a cooperative organized under this chapter, if it is authorized to do business in the state as provided in Alaska Stat. Chapter 10.06 (Alaska Corporations Code).
