(a) As a component of public school funding, a district is eligible to receive a quality school funding grant not to exceed the district’s adjusted ADM multiplied by $16. The department shall by regulation establish a grant process to implement this section.

  • department: means the Department of Education and Early Development. See Alaska Statutes 14.60.010
  • state: means the State of Alaska unless applied to the different parts of the United States and in the latter case it includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
(b) For purposes of the reduction required under Alaska Stat. § 14.17.400(b), funding authorized under (a) of this section is treated the same as the state share of public school funding under Alaska Stat. § 14.17.410.
