In order that the director may effectively administer this chapter, a person who has placed insurance with an unauthorized insurer shall, upon the director’s order, produce for the examination of the director all policies and other documents evidencing the insurance and shall disclose to the director the amount of premiums paid or agreed to be paid for the insurance and other information required by the director. For each refusal to obey the order, in addition to any other penalties prescribed in this title, the person is subject to a civil penalty of not more than $25,000 following an appropriate hearing as provided in Alaska Stat. § 21.06.17021.06.230.
