Alaska Statutes 45.29.708 – Persons entitled to file initial financing statement or continuation statement

A person may file an initial financing statement or a continuation statement under Alaska Stat. § 45.29.702 – 45.29.709 if

(1) the secured party of record authorizes the filing; and

person: includes a corporation, company, partnership, firm, association, organization, business trust, or society, as well as a natural person. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060

(2) the filing is necessary under Alaska Stat. § 45.29.702 – 45.29.709 to

(A) continue the effectiveness of a financing statement filed before July 1, 2001; or

(B) perfect or continue the perfection of a security interest.
