- state: means the State of Alaska unless applied to the different parts of the United States and in the latter case it includes the District of Columbia and the territories. See Alaska Statutes 01.10.060
An applicant for admission to the home who has been a resident of the state for 30 years and is otherwise qualified for admission under Alaska Stat. § 47.55.020 may not be disqualified for admission because of absence from the state if the commissioner of family and community services determines the absence was reasonable and admission is consistent with the intent of Alaska Stat. § 47.55.010 – 47.55.100.
