The presiding judge of the superior court shall annually submit a proposed budget for the following fiscal year for the community punishment program to the supreme court. The supreme court shall review and analyze each county budget and include the requests in its annual budget request along with costs necessary for the supreme court to administer the program.

  • Community punishment: means programs for persons placed on supervised probation or intensive probation which are established pursuant to this article and provide for increased conditions of probation and community based programs and services that emphasize supervision, surveillance, control, public protection, community work service, restitution and victims' rights and that provide opportunities for rehabilitation and treatment.   • Fiscal year: The fiscal year is the accounting period for the government. For the federal government, this begins on October 1 and ends on September 30. The fiscal year is designated by the calendar year in which it ends; for example, fiscal year 2006 begins on October 1, 2005 and ends on September 30, 2006.
