Before issuing a charter for the incorporation of any organization for the purpose of receiving children for care or for placement in foster homes, the corporation commission shall transmit a copy of the petition for incorporation, together with all information in its possession pertaining to the proposed corporation, to the division. Application for amendment of the existing charter of such corporation shall be similarly referred.

  • Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • Petition: means a written statement of the essential facts that allege delinquency, incorrigibility or dependency. See Arizona Laws 8-201
