Cities or towns may receive, hold or dispose of gifts made to them for library purposes and may apply them in a manner which will best promote the uses of the library, subject to the terms of the gift.

  • Gift: A voluntary transfer or conveyance of property without consideration, or for less than full and adequate consideration based on fair market value.
