Prior to the hearing required by subdivision (a) of Section 1861.6, the defendant shall be served with all of the following:
(a) A copy of the summons and complaint.

- Complaint: A written statement by the plaintiff stating the wrongs allegedly committed by the defendant.

- Summons: Another word for subpoena used by the criminal justice system.
(b) Notice of application and hearing.
(c) A copy of the application and any affidavit filed in support thereof.
