It is the intent of the Legislature that, on or before January 1, 2011, and to the extent an appropriation is provided for this purpose, the department, at a minimum, ensures that the data elements pertaining to success in the 21st Century workforce described in Section 6401(a)(2)(B)(ii) and (e)(1)(A)(ii) of the federal America COMPETES Act (20 U.S.C. § 9871) be collected for career technical education programs operated by a local educational agency.
