(a) Except as otherwise provided in subdivision (b), all expenses incurred by the authority in implementing this chapter shall be payable solely from funds appropriated for purposes of this chapter, and the authority shall not incur liabilities in excess of the amount of those funds.

(b) The authority may request a loan by the Pooled Money Investment Board from the Pooled Money Investment Account, in accordance with § 16312 of the Government Code, and may execute those documents required by the Pooled Money Investment Board to obtain and repay the loan. The loan shall be deposited in the fund for the purposes of carrying out the provisions of this chapter. The amount of the loan shall not exceed the amount of the unsold bonds that the authority by resolution, has authorized to be sold for the purposes of this chapter.

  • Authority: means the California School Finance Authority, or any board, body, commission, department, or officer succeeding to the principal functions of the authority, or to which the powers conferred upon the authority by this chapter shall be given by law. See California Education Code 17173
  • Liabilities: The aggregate of all debts and other legal obligations of a particular person or legal entity.
