  • Bequest: Property gifted by will.

  • Forgery: The fraudulent signing or alteration of another's name to an instrument such as a deed, mortgage, or check. The intent of the forgery is to deceive or defraud. Source: OCC
  • Gift: A voluntary transfer or conveyance of property without consideration, or for less than full and adequate consideration based on fair market value.
  • Licensed adjuster: means a person licensed by the bureau for adjusting lamps in licensed lamp adjusting stations or for adjusting brakes in licensed brake adjusting stations. See California Business and Professions Code 9888.1
  • Notice: includes all papers and orders required to be served in any proceedings before any court, board, or officer, or when required by law to be served independently of such proceeding. See California Government Code 26660
