(a) The department and the commission shall develop a strategic plan to implement proposals arising from any of the following:
(1) The strategic vision developed and submitted to the Governor and the Legislature pursuant to § 12805.3 of the Government Code.
Terms Used In California Fish and Game Code 1020
- Commission: means the Fish and Game Commission, and "commissioner" means a member of the Fish and Game Commission. See California Fish and Game Code 30
- Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
- Department: means the Department of Fish and Wildlife. See California Fish and Game Code 37
- Subdivision: means a subdivision of the section in which that term occurs unless some other section is expressly mentioned. See California Fish and Game Code 73
(2) Any legislation enacted relating to the strategic vision process.
(3) The department’s own proposals for reform.
(b) (1) The department and the commission may contract for consultants to assist in the preparation of the strategic plan pursuant to subdivision (a).
(2) Contracts entered into pursuant to paragraph (1) shall terminate no later than December 31, 2015.
(3) Contracts entered into pursuant to paragraph (1) shall be exempt from Part 2 (commencing with Section 10100) of Division 2 of the Public Contract Code.
