For the purpose of exercising powers of a redevelopment agency, the jurisdiction of the authority shall be the “metropolitan area” as defined in subdivision (a) of Section 8160.1.

Terms Used In California Government Code 8185

  • Authority: means the Capitol Area Development Authority created by the joint powers agreement executed pursuant to Section 8169. See California Government Code 8180
  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
  • Subdivision: means a subdivision of the section in which the term occurs unless some other section is expressly mentioned. See California Government Code 10
