(a) The California Automobile Assigned Risk Plan shall report to the commissioner on an annual basis, and at those additional times as it deems prudent, on the status of the program. The report shall include data regarding new policies, renewed policies, and policy cancellations or nonrenewals.

(b) The department shall combine the reports pursuant to subdivision (a) with the report required by Section 11629.85 and submit the combined report to the Legislature on or before March 15, 2024, and on or before March 15 every five years thereafter.

(c) A report submitted pursuant to subdivision (b) shall be submitted in compliance with § 9795 of the Government Code.
