(a) All personal property held or received by a home pursuant to Section 1035, other than moneys or property described in Section 1035.2, which is unclaimed by, or not otherwise delivered to, the heir or heirs or pursuant to the will of a deceased member within one year after death, may be sold by the administrator by public auction or private sale. The sale shall take place at a public place in the home, and notice of the sale shall be posted in that place at least 10 days previous to the date of the sale. The proceeds of the sale shall be credited to the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation Fund.

This subdivision applies only to veterans, spouses, and domestic partners becoming members of a home on or after January 1, 1984.

The sale shall take place at a public place in the home, and notice of the sale shall be posted in that place at least 10 days previous to the date of the sale. The proceeds of the sale shall be credited to the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation Fund.

This subdivision applies only to veterans, spouses, and domestic partners who have become members of a home prior to January 1, 1984.
