(a) No person may be placed in a mental health treatment facility under the provisions of this part.

(b) No experimental drug as defined in § 111515 of the Health and Safety Code may be prescribed for or administered to any person under this part.

Terms Used In California Probate Code 3211

  • Health care: means any care, treatment, service, or procedure to maintain, diagnose, or otherwise affect a patient's physical or mental condition. See California Probate Code 3200
  • Person: means an individual, corporation, government or governmental subdivision or agency, business trust, estate, trust, partnership, limited liability company, association, or other entity. See California Probate Code 56

(c) No convulsive treatment as defined in § 5325 of the Welfare and Institutions Code may be performed on any person under this part.

(d) No person may be sterilized under this part.

(e) The provisions of this part are subject to a valid advance health care directive under the Health Care Decisions Law, Division 4.7 (commencing with Section 4600).
