The department shall at all times cause the toll bridge to comply with all lawful orders of the United States Secretary of Defense, the Chief of Engineers of the United States Army, and of any other governmental agency or authority having jurisdiction thereof.

  • Authority: means the Bay Area Toll Authority created pursuant to Chapter 4. See California Streets and Highways Code 30600
  • Department: means the Department of Transportation of this state. See California Streets and Highways Code 20
  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
  • Toll bridge: means that certain bridge across San Francisco Bay known as the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge and the approaches thereto. See California Streets and Highways Code 30600
