The resolution under this article of whether a regional center or generic agency is the responsible party for providing the service in a particular matter shall not set a precedent for the resolution of any other matter.

Terms Used In California Welfare and Institutions Code 4659.8

  • Precedent: A court decision in an earlier case with facts and law similar to a dispute currently before a court. Precedent will ordinarily govern the decision of a later similar case, unless a party can show that it was wrongly decided or that it differed in some significant way.
  • Regional center: means a regional center as that term is used in this chapter. See California Welfare and Institutions Code 4639.80
