Any local or regional board of education may provide transportation to a student attending an elementary or secondary nonpublic school, not conducted for profit and approved by the State Board of Education, outside the school district wherein such student resides with a parent or guardian, provided such elementary or secondary nonpublic school is located within the state of Connecticut. Any local or regional board of education which provides transportation services pursuant to this section may suspend such services in accordance with the provisions of § 10-233c.
