The Commissioner of Revenue Services may, for purposes of cooperative audits of reports and returns related to the state tax on motor vehicle fuels, enter into agreements with the appropriate authorities of other jurisdictions imposing tax on motor vehicle fuels similar to that imposed in Connecticut under this chapter. In performing any such audit or part thereof, any officer or employee of any such other jurisdiction shall be deemed an authorized agent of this state for such purpose and such audit or part thereof shall have the same effect as a similar audit by the Department of Revenue Services.

  • Fuels: means (1) fuels as defined in §. See Connecticut General Statutes 12-455a
  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
  • Motor vehicle: means any vehicle propelled or drawn by any power other than muscular, except aircraft, motorboats, road rollers, baggage trucks used about railroad stations, electric battery-operated wheel chairs when operated by persons with physical disabilities at speeds not exceeding fifteen miles per hour, agricultural tractors, farm implements and such vehicles as run only upon rails or tracks.
