The Commissioner of Public Health may, in accordance with regulations adopted pursuant to § 19a-59c, impose a civil penalty of not more than two thousand five hundred dollars, or disqualify from participation in the Special Supplemental Food Program for Women, Infants and Children, or both, any vendor who engages in conduct in violation of said regulations.
