If a fiduciary is permitted to submit a financial report in lieu of an account pursuant to rules of procedure adopted under § 45a-78 and the Probate Court approves the financial report, the Probate Court may enter a decree releasing the fiduciary and the sureties on the fiduciary’s bond, if any, from any further liability with respect to all items shown on the financial report.
