A successor fiduciary may apply to the court of probate having jurisdiction of such estate to determine (1) any and all claims presented to any predecessor fiduciary, (2) the time of presentation of each such claim, (3) whether optional notice was given by any predecessor fiduciary to any persons pursuant to § 45a-357, and (4) whether and to what extent each such claim was rejected, allowed or paid by any predecessor fiduciary. Upon application by a successor fiduciary, after notice to such persons as the court shall direct, the court shall hear and decide the foregoing matters and the court’s decision with regard thereto shall, unless timely appealed, be final and conclusive.
