When a specific devise of real property in any will executed after October 1, 1947, is void or lapses or for any other reason fails to take effect, the real property so devised, except as provided in § 45a-441, in the absence of any provision in the will for such contingency, shall pass under and be disposed of by the residuary clause in the will.
