(a) A person is guilty of an act of terrorism when such person, with intent to intimidate or coerce the civilian population or a unit of government, commits a felony involving the unlawful use or threatened use of physical force or violence.
Terms Used In Connecticut General Statutes 53a-300
- Person: means a human being, and, where appropriate, a public or private corporation, a limited liability company, an unincorporated association, a partnership, a government or a governmental instrumentality. See Connecticut General Statutes 53a-3
(b) When any person has been found guilty of an act of terrorism, the court shall, in lieu of imposing the sentence authorized for the crime under § 53a-35a, impose the sentence of imprisonment authorized by said section for the next more serious degree of felony.
