No more than three extensions of an order may be granted by the panel and only upon application for an extension made in accordance with the provisions of § 54-41c, which shall, in addition, contain the results of the interceptions conducted thus far, and findings by the panel as required by the provisions of § 54-41d. The period of any extension shall be no longer than the panel deems necessary to achieve the purposes for which it was granted and in no event longer than fifteen days.
