- Child: means a person who has not reached the age of 18 years. See Delaware Code Title 6 Sec. 4307
- Defendant: In a civil suit, the person complained against; in a criminal case, the person accused of the crime.
- motor vehicle: as used in this chapter , is defined in § 101(37) of this title, with the exception of motorcycles. See Delaware Code Title 21 Sec. 4153
- Trial: A hearing that takes place when the defendant pleads "not guilty" and witnesses are required to come to court to give evidence.
