(a) Whenever the Department of Finance is satisfied that a building is being constructed without a permit first being issued therefor, it may serve a written notice or order upon the person responsible therefor, directing discontinuance of the construction until a permit has been obtained from the Department.
Terms Used In Delaware Code Title 9 Sec. 6308
- Building: means any structure, building, edifice or part thereof. See Delaware Code Title 9 Sec. 6301
- Construction: means alteration, removal, demolition, addition, repair or construction of any new or old building. See Delaware Code Title 9 Sec. 6301
- Person: means any architect, builder, contractor, repairman, agent, partner or corporation as well as an individual. See Delaware Code Title 9 Sec. 6301
(b) A person served with such notice or order shall, within 5 days, comply with the requirements thereof.
