§ 3-0302. Review of state-owned lands.

  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.

Within amounts appropriated therefor, by January first, nineteen hundred ninety-five, the commissioner, in consultation with the New York state biodiversity research institute created pursuant to § 235-a of the education law, shall conduct a review of lands currently in state-ownership and under the department's jurisdiction to identify lands and waters that harbor plants, animals, and ecological communities that are rare in New York state.
