§ 71-1913. Enforcement of section 17-1713.

  • Injunction: An order of the court prohibiting (or compelling) the performance of a specific act to prevent irreparable damage or injury.
  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.

1. Any board of health named in subdivision 1 of section 17-1713 shall examine into any alleged offense against section 17-1713 within its jurisdiction and cause the same to be abated, by injunction or otherwise, if found to exist.

2. Any person violating any provision of section 17-1713 shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and punishable by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars or by imprisonment for not more than one year or by both such fine and imprisonment.
