- Purchasing group: means any group which:(a) Has as one of its purposes the purchase of liability insurance on a group basis. See Florida Statutes 627.942A purchasing group may not purchase insurance that provides for a deductible or self-insured retention that is applicable to the group as a whole. However, coverage may provide for a deductible or self-insured retention that is applicable to individual members.
