(1) The person claiming the benefit of ORS § 652.510 to 652.570 shall serve upon the debtor, or upon the officer, assignee or receiver for the debtor where personal service cannot be had, a copy of the verified claim. Thereafter the person receiving such statement shall report the amount of such claim to the court having jurisdiction of such officer, receiver or assignee, together with a statement of all costs occasioned by the seizure of said property or of such receivership or assignment.

  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
  • Person: includes individuals, corporations, associations, firms, partnerships, limited liability companies and joint stock companies. See Oregon Statutes 174.100

(2) The court shall order such claims to be paid after payment of the costs and expenses of such seizure and sale, and the costs and disbursements which have accrued before the filing of the notice under ORS § 652.510 and of assignment or receivership, out of the proceeds of the sale of the property so seized, assigned, or placed in the hands of an assignee or receiver.
