Terms Used In 15 Guam Code Ann. § 4501
- Deed: The legal instrument used to transfer title in real property from one person to another.
- Guardian: A person legally empowered and charged with the duty of taking care of and managing the property of another person who because of age, intellect, or health, is incapable of managing his (her) own affairs.
- Probate: Proving a will
guardian appointed by will or deed or by the court may be removed by the court for any of the following causes:
1. For waste or mismanagement of the estate or abuse of his trust;
2. For failure to file an inventory or to render an account within the time allowed by law or for continued failure to perform his duties;
3. For incapacity to perform his duties suitably;
4. For gross immorality;
5. For having an interest adverse to the faithful performance of his duties;
6. For removal from the territory of Guam;
7. In the case of a guardian of the property, for insolvency; or
8. When it is no longer necessary that the ward should be under the guardianship.
