Terms Used In 19 Guam Code Ann. § 5120

  • Amendment: A proposal to alter the text of a pending bill or other measure by striking out some of it, by inserting new language, or both. Before an amendment becomes part of the measure, thelegislature must agree to it.
y adult who willfully violates, neglects or refuses to obey or perform any lawful order of the court or who violates any provisions of this Chapter may be proceeded against for contempt of court, unless another penalty is provided in this Chapter. Any adult found in contempt of court may be punished by a fine not to exceed Five Hundred Dollars ($500) or by imprisonment not to exceed to fifty (50) days, or by both such fine and imprisonment. This Section shall not limit the inherent power of the court to enforce its orders through civil contempt.
