(a) A foreign corporation authorized to transact business in this State may change its registered agent by complying with the requirements of § 425R-7.

  • Corporation: A legal entity owned by the holders of shares of stock that have been issued, and that can own, receive, and transfer property, and carry on business in its own name.
  • Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
(b) If a registered agent changes its name, its address, or its type or jurisdiction of organization, the agent shall comply with the requirements of § 425R-8 or 425R-9, whichever is applicable.
