Terms Used In Idaho Code 41-1093
- Limited lines travel insurance producer: means a person who is a limited lines producer as defined in section 41-1003, Idaho Code. See Idaho Code 41-1091
- Travel insurance: means insurance coverage for personal risks incident to planned travel including, but not limited to:
Idaho Code 41-1091Travel retailer: means a business entity that makes, arranges or offers travel services and may offer and disseminate travel insurance as a service to its customers on behalf of and under the direction of a limited lines travel insurance producer. See Idaho Code 41-1091
A travel retailer, whose insurance-related activities and those of its employees and authorized representatives are limited to offering and disseminating travel insurance, on behalf of and under the direction of a limited lines travel insurance producer meeting the conditions stated in this chapter, is authorized to do so and receive related compensation upon registration by the limited lines travel insurance producer as described in section 41-1092(2)(b), Idaho Code.
