Terms Used In Idaho Code 7-1309

  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
Appeal of the judgment of the court may be had as in other civil cases, except that such appeal must be filed within forty-two (42) days after the time of the rendition of such judgment.
