Terms Used In Idaho Code > Title 54 > Chapter 44 - Peer Assistance Entity Agreements

  • Board: means :
Idaho Code 54-4401
  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
  • Damages: Money paid by defendants to successful plaintiffs in civil cases to compensate the plaintiffs for their injuries.
  • Dependent: A person dependent for support upon another.
  • Discovery: Lawyers' examination, before trial, of facts and documents in possession of the opponents to help the lawyers prepare for trial.
  • Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
  • Peer assistance entity: means an organization, a program, a committee or a professional association which is designed to address any or all of the following issues affecting practitioners of the health care professions: chemical dependency and/or impairment; psychological impairment; and mental or physical impairment. See Idaho Code 54-4401
  • person: includes a corporation as well as a natural person;
  • Idaho Code 73-114
  • State: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories; and the words "United States" may include the District of Columbia and territories. See Idaho Code 73-114
  • Subpoena: A command to a witness to appear and give testimony.
  • Testify: Answer questions in court.
